Katie and Nick had the sweetest engagement session in Everett, Washington! The weather this day was a bit unpredictable, which isn’t really a surprise in the PNW! On my way to their session, I experienced all kinds of weather, from rain to snow to sunshine. Although Nick and Katie were worried about rain during their engagement session, it held off long enough to capture their engagement photos! It’s never easy to predict the weather as a wedding and couples photographer in the Pacific Northwest. You can’t always prepare for everything, so at times you have to just hope for the best and play it by ear!

The weather may have been a bit gloomy, but it definitely didn’t get these two down! Katie and Nick were such a sweet couple. As much as they were afraid they’d be awkward in front of the camera, they ended up being the complete opposite! You could tell how in love these two are and their smiles could light up an entire room! I love the energy they brought to their session, and can we take a moment for Katie’s engagement ring? STUNNING! They also brought a custom ornament with their engagement date on it, and I thought it was so adorable! We had so much fun during this session. And of course, we had to do some champagne popping to celebrate the next chapter in their life!
